Five Sets of Magenta and Space, 2025
The structured but non-representative paintings for this project, build color spaces in oil on paper. These form the basis for the cutouts of the color-space construction, Five Sets of Magenta and Space. Five paintings, in oil on paper, each in turn composed of 4 to 10 parts, form a space within the church space of the Lukaskirche, Dresden. Here, our physical experience of the church, the installation, and the paper cutouts becomes interwoven with the bodily-sensory perception (der leib-sinnlichen Wahrnehmung) of the color spaces in the painting.
